Abstract:Three kinds of aromatic polyamide films (PAs) were prepared using new diamine monomer 3,3′-diisopropyl-4,4′-diaminophenyl-4″-phenyltouene (PAPT) and three aromatic dicarboxylic acids by Yamazaki phosphorylating method. These results show PAs have good solubility in organic solvents at room temperature, such as N-methyl pyrrolidone(NMP), N,N-dimethylformamide(DMF), dimethyl sulfoxide(DMSO) and N,N-dimethylacetamide(DMAc). Moreover, they have outstanding thermal properties with the glass transition temperature and 10% mass loss temperature higher than 209 ℃ and 465 ℃ respectively. Furthermore, they also present excellent optical properties with the cutoff wavelength ranges of 317~338 nm, and the wavelengths of 80% transmittance more than 445 nm.
