Abstract:In this paper, the silicone rubber microspheres were prepared by one-step suspension polymerization by introducing diluent into the silicone rubber addition polymerization system. The structure and properties of silicone rubber microspheres and PMMA composites were characterized by FT-IR, WCA, TGA, SEM and haze / transmittance measurements. The results show that silicone rubber microspheres have the same heat resistance as silicone rubber, and the size of the microspheres is mainly between 1~4 μm, while the surface of the silicone rubber microspheres is rough. The experiment results show that when the amount of the silicone rubber microspheres is 1%, the haze of PMMA is greatly improved from 2.54% to 92.34%, but the transmittance of PMMA is only slightly reduced from 90.40% to 84.47%.
