Abstract:Core-shell structure poly-acrylate latex was synthesized by pre-emulsification and semi-continuous polymerization with methyl methacrylate (MMA) and butyl acrylate (BA) as main monomer, acrylic acid (AA) and hydroxypropyl acrylate (HPMA) as functional monomer. The influence of core-shell mass ratio,mass ratio of BA and MMA in core and shell on the latex performance and film property of PA dispersion was studied by dynamic thermal mechanical (DMA), transmission electron microscopy(TEM), differential scanning calorimeter(DSC) and dynamic light scattering(DLS),etc.The results indicate that when the mass ratio of core/shell, BA∶MMA in core and shell are 5∶5, 0∶50 and 24∶26,respectively, the storage modulus can reach 3500 MPa, film hardness 2H, adhesion 1 level. The latex particles have obvious core-shell structure and the particle size is about 100 nm.
