Abstract:Through atomic force microscope (AFM) and dynamic shear rheometer (DSR), the original and the aged asphalt samples through RTFO and PAV were tested. The changes of self-healing performance of SBS modified asphalt were analyzed under the influence of different aging degree, damage degree, self-healing time and self healing temperature. Though the orthogonal experiment of 4 factors and 3 levels, the biggest factor affecting self-healing performance of SBS modified asphalt was found; and the microstructure of SBS-modified asphalt under different aging condition was observed by AFM. The results show that the biggest factor affecting the self-healing performance of SBS-modified asphalt is aging degree, followed by damage degree, self-healing temperature and self-healing time; the rougher the surface of SBS-modified asphalt after aging according to AFM is, the worse self-healing performance is.
