Abstract:The effects of sequence structures of acrylonitrile (AN) and butadiene (BD) on the vulcanization rate and tensile properties of NBR were studied by NMR. The results show that there are four kinds of sequence structures of non-high grade nitrile NBR including BAB, BBB, BBA/ABB and ABA. The sequence structure of NBR with the same content of acrylonitrile is different, and its vulcanization rate and mechanical properties are greatly affected by the sequence structure. When the BAB sequence structure content is increased by 2.7%, the scorch time is decreased by 0.48 min, the tensile strength is increased by 2.34 MPa, and the elongation at break is increased by 80.52%. When the BBB sequence structure content is increased by 5.9%, the top optimum cure time is decreased by 2.89 min.
