The effects of two different foaming processes——hot air free foaming and moulding foaming, on solid silicone rubber were studied when the foaming system was crosslinking agent bis (2,4-dichlorobenzoyl) peroxide and foaming agent azodiisobutyronitrile. The structure and properties of the prepared solid foamed silicone rubbers were characterized and tested. The results show that the solid foamed silicone rubber materials by two different foaming processes in the system of bis (2,4-dichlorobenzoyl) peroxide were successfully prepared. The matching temperature of cross-linking and foaming is 120 ℃. The mechanical properties and anti-aging properties will increase with the increase of the contents of cross-linking agent and foaming agent. The optimum mass ratio of cross-linking agent and foaming agent is 1.2∶3.0.
