Abstract:Polyacrylonitrile (PAN) nanofiber membranes prepared by electrospinning were treated by continuous pre-oxidation and carbonization, the evolution of structure and properties of nanofiber membranes in the process of pre-oxidation and carbonization were analyzed by DSC, bulk density, FT-IR, SEM, EA, Raman spectrum and mechanical properties. The results show that compared with the micron sized PAN polymer powder, the nanofibers have the lower cyclization activation energy. When the oxygen content of the oxidized-nanofiber is 8.3%, the carbon nanofiber membranes have the better comprehensive performance, and their density, carbon yield and tensile strength are 1.799 g/cm3, 59.8% and 29.6 MPa, respectively.
