Abstract:Capillary microfluidic chip is one of the important branches of microfluidics. It has been extensively studied and applied in various fields because of its unique advantages of low preparation difficulty, low material cost, excellent chemical properties and flexible design. In this review, we discussed the basic principle and manufacturing method of capillary microfluidic chip in detail. Meanwhile, its recent applications in droplet generation, fiber spinning were also reviewed and discussed. Finally, we discussed the current technological issues and challenges faced by capillary microfluidic chip, also the outlook of the future direction of the capillary microfluidics technology was provided in this study.
