The thiol-ene reaction is an important reaction in click chemistry, plays an critical effect during UV curing process. By adding thiol compound during UV curing process, the oxygen inhibition of radical polymerization can be overcame, and photoinitiator cleavage fragments can also be reduced because of less or even no pohotoinitiator used in UV curable system. Owning to the above advantages, in recent years, introducing thiol-ene click reaction into UV curing process has become a focus in the field of radiation curing materials. Starting from the concept of thiol-ene click reaction and UV curing material, the research development of thiol-ene click reaction in UV curing process was summarized. The advantages and disadvantages, reaction mechanism, molecular selection and design principles of the thiol-ene click reaction during UV curing process were described, and the common used thiol compounds and vinyl monomer in UV curing material were discussed. Finally, the further application and improvement of thiol-ene reaction in the UV curing process are prospected.
